The team sits at 9th CG. Way better than I expected. I wanted to hang on to a solid division 1 spot, but top 10 is great. And a real shot at going to Germany (finally).
Jannic De Keijsere is currently 17th in the world rank, getting me lots of points and money. A very solid start of the season. Only 5 results, but apart from a TT and a climbing stage at perm, he's been on top 9 for all races except 1, finished at 10th.
Angelo Bazán had been surprising everyone (including me). He sits at 25th in the world. Only 3 results, but like De Keijsere he has been piling up those top 9's. Two of the results were on top form, but still very happy with him.
Other riders have taken results, none more surprising than Shutts getting second at Norwich-London.
Apart from that, I grew my team in numbers to a great 20 riders, from just 15 not long ago. Training has been going great. I now have 4 trainees in hand for the hills section, all very young.
Also managed to get Dirk Veldkamp to replace Porfirio Gats, and Juan Lizarraga left to be replaced by Marcello Federico, still finishing up so training.
The sprinting outfit is now set up for a few season, with captain Jannic De Keijsere being the eldest.
Also, the staff and equipment has been improved, making it the best batch ever.
